You touch a willing creature who isn’t wearing armor and they are magically shrouded in a set of battle armor. The armor is weightless, but physically tangible. The target’s base AC becomes 18. The spell ends if the target tries to doff the magical armor, if the target tries to don any other armor, or if you dismiss the spell as an action.

Your free hand becomes imbued with the raw power of lightning for the duration of the spell. At your whim you can harness this energy into a whip made of lightning.

When you cast the spell, and as an action on each of your turns until the spell ends, you may make a melee spell attack on a target within 15 feet. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 lightning damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for every slot level above 3rd. Additionally, the reach of the whip extends by 5 feet for every two slot levels above 3rd.

The melee weapon you are holding becomes infused with holy energy. The weapon sheds a bright light in a 10 foot radius and dim light for another 10 feet, and becomes magical, if it isn’t already. The weapon also briefly illuminate invisible creatures as you attempt to make melee attacks against them, causing them to be temporarily visible for the attack. You may only have one weapon be enchanted this way.
