The spell’s damage increases by 1d12 when you reach 5th level (2d12), 11th level (3d12), and 17th level (4d12).

You create a pocket of spores in the space of a creature within range, ready to burst. Make a ranged spell attack against the creature. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 necrotic damage, and it can’t regain hit points until the start of your next turn. Until then, the spores grow into rotting fungi that feeds on the creature. If you hit an undead target, it also has disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of your next turn.

This spell’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).

Up to 6 corpses in range immediately putrefy, exploding in a shower of decaying liquids and rotting flesh. Each target within 5 feet of an affected corpse must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a target takes 6d6 acid damage and is poisoned for 1 minute. A poisoned creature can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the poison on a success. On a successful save, a target takes half as much damage and is not poisoned.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 6th.

You touch a corpse or other remains. The creature decomposes at a massively accelerated rate. The remains, including the bones, turn to soil and dust. The target can’t be raised as a corporeal undead, such as a zombie or a ghoul, but its soul is still vulnerable to undeath and may inhabit or create a new body. This spell has no effect on constructs.

You touch a corpse that has been dead no longer than 8 hours. The creature decays as you absorb the nutrients from its body. You regain hit points equal to 3d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier and the corpse becomes a clean skeleton.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the healing increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
