On a failed save, a creature takes 5d6 damage, which is split equally among five energy types: fire, acid, lightning, poison, and cold On a successful save, creatures take half as much damage of each type.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
