Acid Rain

Conjuration cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S, M (an orange)
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes

Choose a creature, an object, or a fixed point within range. 10 feet above that point appears a cloud of acid rain which follows precisely the movements and position of the creature or object you have chosen, raining acid onto a 5-foot square beneath it. A creature that moves under the cloud or starts their turn under the cloud must succeed on a constitution saving throw or take 1d4 acid damage.

The cloud can be dispersed by a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour), at which point the spell ends. The spell also ends if there is no space for the cloud to move such that it can remain above its target, such as by going through low doorways or a shallow tunnel.

Metal objects are destroyed by the cloud. Creatures made of metal take maximum damage on a failed save.

The spell’s damage increases when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
